90% of the people that voted for fmj have never seen a full Duran fight pre 1980... everyone that voted for Duran has almost defintely seen both Duran & fmj fight... this poll (76-70 or thereabouts) in a place this ****ed up is actually a clear Duran victory, everything considered.

What'd you think of the skills Duran showed against De Jesus in the 2nd and 3rd fights? How about the Palomino fight?

You hit the nail on the head my friend. So preoccupied are they with defending Floyd and diminishing Duran's abilities in the process that they point to a handful of past-prime losses while ignoring the better part of an ATG career.

:yep When Floyd was on vacation, the *****s cleared out right quick, and we had the ******* infestation. Ever since Manny got the gift against JMM, they've been on a tirade non-stop.

Yes we've heard it before. Pre-Leonard II Duran=ATG. Post Leonard II Duran=shot Duran. Except for Duran v Hagler, Duran v Barkley.

    Heard it before.

These floyd voters wouldn`t have seen any of those fights, they think Duran`s career started in 1980.

You know it is possible to put in the odd good performance when your past your prime... its not excuses, Duran lost to Hagler, Hearns & whoever else because they were bigger & better at the time of those fights, but its absolutely ridiculous to say that it was Duran in his prime years, you only have to look at the man that ruled the lightweights from 1972-78 & the welterweight Duran that beat Palomino & Leonard to know that he was a much better fighter then, its ******ed to suggest otherwise.
Common sense alone tells you that a man that goes into the first Leonard fight with a record of 71-1 hasn`t got a whole lot of great fights left to give at elite level.

Duran doesn`t make just about every top 10 p4p list by accident, he earned it as one of the best fighters that ever lived.

Since durans day? As if it was 100 years ago. The talent pool got worse. Duran is a modern fighter. I bet you think Paul williams had more skills than Hearns
