He is the next guy that when he steps up vs a real champ or p4p level, His fans will be in disbelief saying what Bute fans said on sunday

Damn, he wasn't as great as we thought he was. What was i thinking???

As i said before, Im willing to do a half year ban bet that Martinez won't lose to Jr and that Cotto won't lose to Saul when they do battle

    bump this Sept 16

alvarez's team are doing him no favors matching him up against smaller men who are barely welterweights. when alvarez loses his loss will afect him a lot more than if chavez loses to sergio. and i believe he will be exposed faster than chavez jr. chavez jr. might lose to martinez but are you really being exposed fighting the 3rd best pound for pound fighter in the world? somewhere chavez is laughing at all his critics saying he's spoiled and a phony while he's taking on martinez and canelo is fighitng lopez. chavez can lose to martinez and still gain more than canelo knocking out lopez.

well, Bute literally faced B-level opposition that most fans never heard of until he was hit by the Froch express

Canelo's faced Cintron,Hatton and Mosley(albeit a very shot Mosley), but I also want to see him step it up in competition

I have never thought much of Canelo. Maybe he will prove me wrong. The only thing keeping me from saying he will be 100% a bust is that he's like 21. He doesn't need to be fighting the best at his age. I'd make him wait until he's 24 if I am GBP.

If that was the case, then why "win" and defend a 'world title".He is a champion and should fight the best out there, should he not?

I hope Canelo can be great. Boxing could definitely benefit greatly from it, but I just think he looks kind of limited. He's explosive as hell, has solid punching power, good hand-speed and timing, and throws nice combinations, but he also looks stiff, robotic, doesn't have an impressive workrate, and has slow feet.

His TRUE age was exposed by Chavez' team. They stated that Canelo's age was 24 years old early this year.

    :deal

Fugg that BS 21 years old and what not. He needs to step up or get the fugg out the way.

Cant wait until Cotto exposes the bum.

    :deal

I think all of you who say he's great or trash don't know **** about boxing.

Canelo is young, real young and they have been bringing him up the way they want because of the money he brings to the table.

I don't see a fight with Paul Williams, Kirkland or Victor Ortiz as "easy" fights. Didn't Mayweather, Martinez and Angulo just fight these guys?

It's not Canelo's fault the fights fell through. I don't know what Canelo will or will not be but I do know this. The kid hits like a mule, he can box and counter punch. He can pressure or fight going backwards and seems to have some serious patience and calm in the ring.

I think the building blocks for Canelo are great and he COULD be great but I can't make that judgment as of right now.
