Bika would be fine, durable as Hell, awkward and guarantees a tear up, if a messy one!

I can't see it being Bika, not at this stage of Froch's career, he's a 35 year old who's been in the wars.

Bika brings nothing to the table except a horrible ugly 12 rounds. Best case scenario, Froch goes 12 rounds with a guy Calzaghe went 12 rounds with 6 years ago and is known for nothing except being an ugly opponent

They will either want a meaningful name, or just a stay busy opponent for Froch to put on a show for the home fans

I'd rather see a McGee rematch than Poulard. **** it, he might as well rematch Robin Reid.

Plenty of people will, the British public rarely get a chance to see Froch on home soil so why not..

Bet Hearn is trying to do this on the cheap. I'd never even heard of Poulard till the other day.

    Why haven't they approached Bika?

Welcome to the reality of negotiating fights outside the Super Six.

I expected this response and I expected it from you.

On Twitter Eddie Hearn said the Bute fight was the hardest he's ever had to negotiate. And Bute made it easier by taking a pay cut and travelling. If Bute wasn't under pressure to prove himself the fight would not have happened.

Although Froch had been installed as Bute's mandatory this was not a mandatory defence.

You have to accept the Super Six made all those big so easy to make. Without it they would not have happened. This is the grim reality of boxing politics.

Hearn doesn't want to jeopardise the Bute rematch in March so they are going for a soft opponent. If they go for a good fighter then Eddie wants options. Boxing politics again. Also, Kessler was never in the frame for November.

Maybe they did approach Bika but if he can't get him over to fight Froch then it's worrying. Bika's not a fighter with loads of options available to him.

That's why the Super 6 was the Super 6! :huh shame it hasnt caught on!

We want to see the best fight the best, they should do it for each division.

Of course the Super Six made all those fights easier, but regardless of Bute trying to prove himself, he still got him over here which is good promoting, they're isn't much out there at the minute for Hearn and Froch to pick from, thank god it's not Pascal's brother, I can't believe Eddie even tried to make the fight! :-(

Hopefully they can try and get Oosthuizen again, he's one of the best challengers out there.
