Yes, even old Pac is more dynamic than Kostya. Kostya was hittable and Pac dropping Kostya is not out of the question but Pac isn't the same whirlwind that blew Hatton away anymore, he just isn't dynamic enough nowadays. If Pac doesn't stop Kostya early in the fight, he doesn't have the stamina to press the action to wear Tszyu down in the later rounds. Even Bradley who didn't look convincing early in the fight won some later rounds cuz of Pac's lack of aggression and stamina. And Kostya was accurate hard puncher, physically strong with good body attack. Kostya can do better than featherfisted Bradley in my opinion.
True, but Pac' just languished just outside. Tszyu would have to step in to do anything and Pacqiuao has the durability and nous to just stay away. He can't be arsed to maintain 12 rounds anymore, I don't think he really falls apart enough for Tszyu to take advantage of it. Tszyu will no doubt time him well with the right hand at some point....I will give Pacqiuao the benefit of the doubt and say his durability holds up. Wouldn't be surprised if even this Manny blitzed him inside five or six rounds anyway. This isn't Zab Judah or Sharmba Mitchell.
Kostya has had his struggles with some tough hombres like Hector Lopez, Oktay Urkal, Hugo Pineda. Bradley doesn't hit hard enough to take Kostya out, but he could sure make things difficult with his durability and workrate. I think Kostya would win, but it may not be a Rafael Ruelas or MAG thrashing. He'd probably have to resort to doing a good bit of boxing, which he was quite capable of early on before becoming the stereotypical seek and destroy type in his late 20's.
This is actually pretty similar to the Hatton match up, allot of the 'easy to hit' and 'doesn't hit hard enough' were thrown at Hatton. Tyszu was ofcourse past his best at this stage
Hatton was a different beast entirely from Bradley. Timmy is not as physically strong, heavy handed, and relentless as prime Hatton. And yes, Tszyu was washed up at that stage. Bradley could possibly outpoint the Tszyu of 05. The Tszyu of 99-01 beats his ass though.
This recent crop of natural 140 fighters, Bradley, Khan, Kotelnik, maidana, Peterson, Alexander etc remind me of the 80s group in talent. Lots of of good fights and exciting competitive potential matches, but not a lot of natural ability around.
Funnily enough I've made a few direct comparisons between Bradley and Leroy Haley. Amir has the Arredondo 'tall and chinny' down to a tee.
