You can ask that about any fighter who is on the way up, its kinda hard when Nobody wanted to fight him he was calling out everybody from Mosley, DLH even Vargas nobody wanted to fight him.

King did keep Mayorga away from Margarito, which is why we ended up seeing that stupid ass Spinks Mayorga ****, which I felt Mayorga was jacked in that fight from the ref.

You are too stpuid to get it. What a guy must do to ******t a shot is to simply defeat as many top fighters as they can. WHich is what Margarito had been doing. He had more wins over RIng rankes WW's then either Zab and Margarito COMBINED. Answer this smart guy, what had Mayorga done to get a World Title shot? What had Zab done? First and foremost, the Margarito fight was *not* contested @ the 147lb weight limit - so exaclty how does that fight figure into Pacquiao's resume @ 147?

Second, Mosley hadn't won a fight in more than two years and was one fight removed from retirement.

Third, Marquez had only one previous fight @ 147 - a fight in which he lost every single round.

Mayorga, OTOH, beats a PIRME UNDEFEATED Vernon Forrest who was the #1 welter weigth in the world and had just decisively beaten the P4P #1 figher in the world.

Mayorga > Pacquiao @ 147lbs.

 

I don't recall ever saying anything about Zab or Mayorga having earned title shots. Maybe YOU can quote the post where I make that argument.

And AGAIN I ask, exactly WHAT had Margarito done to warrant or mandate a title shot @ 147? Since you're so smart, maybe then YOU could explain IN DETAIL.

I never said you claimed they deserved a shot. I'm asking what THEY did on their own? Obviously you believe one should EARN a shot, so I was asking what ytou think they did to earn theirs? Certainly you would question what they did as well? For consistencies sake? And if they did little themselves, then why are you questioning Margarito's ability to deserve a shot? LIke I said, all ANY fighter can do to ******t a World Title Shot is to defeat the top guys in their division. And Margarito had done more of that then Mayorga did to get his title shot, and did more of that then when Zab got his. He defeated more ring ranked copntenders then EITHER did. That's what should ******t a title shot. But I guess if you really have to ask, you simpy do not know, is that right?

Classic fight! I remember watching it and laughing my ass off at the time. Mayorga made a fan of me after that fight.
