    Good card, the mexican-italian Salgado is a nice stay busy fight for gamboa.

    Gamboa is Afro-Cuban, in other words he Cuban with African roots. He is a what we call in Spanish a Mulaton, un Mulato, or un Mulatico. Which refers to him being of mixed Spanish and African ancestry.

    You can call him Cuban ( his nationality ) or you can call him Black ( part of his ethnicity ).

    Salgado is tough opponent, not the best in the division but he would give anyone a tough fight if they underestimate him. Gamboa hasn't fought in a while so it would be interesting to see how he does against Salgado with all that ring rust.

    He has african blood for sure but he's not even close to being 50% african, look at his father. Only in most of America would gamboa be seen as "afro-cuban". In miami he would just be another cuban. :hi:

    Magee is a giant step up from that bum he last fought, factor in the lay off this could be pretty tough

    Magee was game vs Bute so this would be a good measuring stick to see where Dirrel is at with the big names

    **** man. you can't get Showtime in Canada at all unless you have an American satellite, and my damn apartment faces the opposite direction it's supposed to if I was hoping to pick up illegal signals.

    one of the main reasons i wish this (and a lot of other great cards) are on HBO

    I wonder if this is the November date Mayweather has been talking about for his return? I would be surprised if he was going to fight in November, espically as each day goes by with no fight planed. My guess is that we will see him back early 2013.
