Back in the 30s ,40s , 50s and 60s there were 100s of these types of fighters in the stadiums and halls around Australia , bantams fought lightweights , welters fought middles , middles fought heavys . Fighters - champs or 4 round boys regulary gave away weight . Betting was the big mover for this - a smaller more talented man would often fight a less talented heavier fighter to get the odds closer. Does'nt happen anymore - modern day mindsets say dont give your opponent any advantage at all FULL STOP.
