Naseem Hamed was on top of the boxing world when Barrera gave him a lesson or two and we all know that JMM is at best at 126lbs. JMM was probably the most technically skilled boxer at 126lbs. If they met during their prime WHO wins?!
Marquez. He is wrong for Hamed in almost every way. He might need to get up of the floor once or twice, but he wins Every other round easily
JMM's the wrong style for him. He'd beat him in similar fashion to Barrera. He may however give Hamed more success seeing as though he takes more chances. But in the end he'll be too precise even for a prime Prince.
Prime JMM is all wrong for Hamed, but the Marquez of the Norwood fight (who Hamed ducked) would actually be more vulnerable. Hamed obviously has a puncher's chance, but JMM has proven that he has ability to weather a storm and come back after being hurt.
People forget that JMM was mandatory for Naz for what? Nearly 2 years? That was back in the days when the WBO did everything they could to keep the money fighters holding the belts. There was good reason they didn't want Naz to fight Juanma, and it's not disparaging to Naz to accept Juanma was horribly wrong for him.
And rightfully so. Barrera exposed his glaring technical shortcomings, and the vast, vast majority of HOF-level fighters from his weight classes would've done the same. Guy has a 100% losing record to top-class opposition ffs!
