Tyson's Ruddock fights. The last time we saw Mike perform well against a solid opponent.

Good shout. Excellent win at Floyd's peak weight.

Roy Jones - Bryant Brannon Few could make a one-sided blowout as entertaining as prime Roy. His multiple left hook combo was ridiculous.

Naseem Hamed - Jose Badillo Naz has better wins on his record, but I don't think he ever looked better. Sliced Badillo open with a ramrod jab, and was in complete command before the mercy stoppage.

Muhammad Ali - Jerry Quarry II As good as Ali version II looked. Completely dominated Quarry, who was a helluva fighter in his own right.

Chris Eubank - Henry Wharton In the later stages of his career, Eubank reminded everyone of his superior boxing skills.

Lennox Lewis - Frans Botha A less common exhibit in the argument for Lewis being a H2H monster.

I just watched this one and it was superb. It's almost like watching a different fighter at that weight.Even though I'm a big fan of Duran,it's that version of Floyd that I think would surprise people against Cholo. The way he uses that elbow might end up foiling some of Cholo's signature moves.
Has anyone read the book on Chavez? I'm sure when I saw his wiki a while back they said there was some doc about him as well.I'm sure he performed well against Morales not long after Floyd as well.:)huh)

Espniosa vs Cobrita Gonzales in Guadalajara, Jalisco,Mehiko.

Rematch it was a pointless rematch and proved to be dangerous one for the Mexican as he was caught in the 4th round with a thunderous right hand that closed the show. The Mexica was taken out on a stretcher and espinosa crew was pelted with bottles lol.

I know it's not exactly "uncelebrated" but I'll have to give this classic another watch soon.

    Khaokar Galaxy vs Esponosa.

I don't know what the **** happened here. The Kid for thailand must of been sick before this fight because he just fell down without being punched. This in a way is a gift win because Thailand is the robbery capital of the world sometimes.

    Thanks mate.

And here's the fight that I think of when I think of how Ward-Dawson might go.

Quoted in George Kimball's A Manly Art - "If Duddy fought Jermain [Taylor] right now, it's a one round fight" said DiBella, who happens to be the world champion's promoter. "But I'll say this: he's the greatest ticket-seller I've ever seen"

Miguel Cotto vs. Randall Bailey. That body shot knockdown was absolutely great and it took him from a guy on my radar right onto my favorite fighter list (headed by Gatti at the time).

Curiously overlooked is Cotto vs. Mosley. A damn good fight between two big names. That was PPV money well spent.

Great thread, Pity. I will be coming back here to watch, or re-watch many of these fights.

That wasn't even close to a full blooded punch! Hell, shows you how hard JJ punched..

Thanks Jeff.I've found it to be a real treasure trove already.
And Cotto at 140 was in my thoughts when making the thread. The guy was box office gold back then because anything could happen, although I didn't think I'd see Randall with a belt this far down the line.
