I'm going to actually say that this has already blown my original Marquez vs. Salido thread out of the water, at least as far as being a productive convo-sparker.

Mine, it was sort of like, you watch the videos and you read the comments of myself and others...and there's not a whole lot more to add other than "OMG yeah that was awesome, can't believe I've never seen that!! :ibutt" - which is why it sputtered out. :yep

    This...this thread has legs...wings...gills...a spacesuit...

    Missed that one.
I did see the one where Abril handed Rios' balls to him only to be on the end of one of the worst robberies in recent memory.
I will try and check out the first fight though.

What did you think of my reference to Ward-Dawson with the McCallum-Kalambay fight?
Every time I think of the upcoming fight, that old one comes into my head.

Just watched the third fight.Man I'm enjoying the suggestions on this thread.
Love the way Vasquez can fight out of a crouch and attack from low.Great the way him and Salido do that.

I met Vasquez in a fight card in Alameda Swapmeet in Los Angeles one day and had a conversation with him. He said that his fights with Larios were hard fights but many people haven't watched them. They were extremely tough fights and he hardly gets credit for that trilogy. Even after his previous wars he still went on to fight 4 more world wars against a skilled and hard hitting Marquez. My respects to the humble Izzy.

    Lennox Lewis vs. Zeljko Mavrovic

This was an unexpectedly stern test for Lewis.
Never heard of the dude before this fight. It made me a fan of Mavrovic, but he never fought again.

Started making bread or some such...
