nobody cares about this anymore nobody cares about Savon either, maybe in another 4 years he can try again It's funny how people are raving about Savon because of that fight "the best in the tournament" they howl. it is what it is. fact is as often or not, amateur results mean sweet **** all in the pros, AND people like this Daily Drivel writer are ignorant of Amateur results outside of the Olympics Savon got KTFO by the Azerbaijani roadsweeper in the worlds, Joshua beat Cammarale Soundly, and then got robbed by that same Azerbaijani in the final nobody paid a blind bit of notice. Lets just wait till they turn pro, then we will see whats what
It means a hell of a lot when it comes to marketing, and in turn £££££££££. Joshua was never going to walk away with anything other than a gold medal, far too much money to be made from him, for the powers that be he's a ****ing dream.
Not s aurprise is it, Its the same with every Olympics, World Championships! Home advantage, c'mon it happens in the Pro's aswell, doesnt make it right but it happens, I dont agree with it, but hey cant do anything about it.
The results aren't too important to my mind(aside from the commercial bonus gold medals give you), but the constant exposure to worldclass amatuer fighters at the worlds or Olympics can be a really good thing.
