:cheers .. TKO 6 is a fact, nobody should deny that. A rematch would have been great, but you can't blame a 38 year old for retiring..
Also, where is that ******* who said Vitali was the GOAT and that his dominance during his title reign was unparalleled? He even said his comeback was better than Foreman's. LMAO!
Before I reply, TKO 6. Thousands of fights have been stopped by cuts, yet you say it's illegitimate and lucky? LMFAO. And you are wrong. Boxers do attempt to cut up faces. When you have an opponent prone to cutting, odds are you will try to use a sharp jab to slice them up. Vitali always does better in the 2nd half of fights? Well, that may be true in a fight he's DOMINATING early, but did he do better in the 2nd half of the Byrd fight? NO. He was CLEARLY getting POUNDED by Lewis in round 6. I am starting to question if you actually watched the fight making comments like that. After the beating Vitali took in the last minute of round 6 it was clear Lewis was gonna take him out eventually. How was LL lucky the doctor stopped it? Did you not see how BAD that cut was? Did you not see how much skin was hanging off above his left eye? Jesus Christ. Stop dick riding. But in the end, TKO 6.
What Lennox did in the end was messed up. The rematch was right for boxing fans but he retired. Not cool.
Here's another tko6. Lennox Lewis dominates Tommy Morrison on route to a tko6. Morrison was also cut.:think This version of Lewis would have killed a lot of people [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCK31bdRflQ[/ame]
@Neon Salmon My point about Lennox vs Vitaly that most people overlook is, Lennox took the fight on 8 days notice. I'd say it was big of him to take that challenge considering Vitaly was no scrub, and probably a much stiffer challenge for Lennox than Kirk Johnson would have been. Jon jones on he other hand declined to fight Chael Sonnen on 8 days notice, and almost ruined the entire card, if Dana White had not offered another opponent in Lyoto Machida. Personally i don't have a problem with Jones's decision, because it has to be difficult to train for months for a particular opponent, only to have that change a week before the fight.
