From an interesting article by Doug Fischer on the RingTV about Gennadiy Golovkin's training camp.

David Imoesiri, who sparred with Povetkin and Golovkin:

"The dude can hit, I’m still getting used to it,” said Imoesiri “It’s crazy. I sparred with [undefeated WBA heavyweight beltholder] Alexander Povetkin and he never hurt me like this guy.

“I must have done 50 rounds while in camp with Povetkin and it was three and half weeks before he hit me with something that made me hold on. With Golovkin I was ready to get out of the ring 45 seconds into our first round of sparring. He hit me with two lefts to the body in the identical spot and had me doubled over. I got through it but it’s hard to defend against 6-inch punches with that much pop. He backs me into a corner with just a jab.And it seems like he does it effortlessly.”

Golovkin is a beast. Proksa is in for a shellacking.

20 odd fights in 6 years isn't enough though. Hopefully he becomes more active.

GGG is a machine man. Doesn't surprise me that fat bum can't punch harder than him.

I'd just like to find out if he's as good as a lot of us think he is. I give Proksa huge credit for taking this fight on relatively short notice when no-one else seems interested in giving GGG that chance.

He's always been known as a puncher, even in his amateur days, but it's still surprising to read something like this.

That was a good article. His trainer has to bring in huge sparring partners for Golovkin because no one under LHW will step in the ring with him. Really excited to see this fight. Proksa is a good fighter with some pop, but his hands-down style is asking for trouble against Triple G.

GGG has great form on his punches he doesn't open up too much. He's the only true threat to Sexy Sergio. That would be my dreamfight Mayweather-Pacquiao ain't got **** on this one.

Does that mean GGG hits almost as hard as Chuck Norris?
