never heard of him changing his name to o'hatton why would he when hatton is an irish name anyway :huh

its in his book that his great grandad from his dads side was a bareknuckle fighter in ireland called spider hatton and then his grandad emigrated to manchester

Whatever, he,s about the biggest tv draw or is in british boxing, and if he was on sky that would probably be ireland to,. When im watching a fight i hate waiting for the anthems to be over, wich creates another ? if the bigun gets his crack at big time, what flag and tune will he have his hand on his big ticker, singing along to ?

It was on back of a rag a while back, complete BS story. They claimed he wanted to buy into it out in U.S to pick up a further fanbase. Like he needed more fans..

the english route was a lot more prosperous for him than the irish one, its usually the lower tier fighters who need to cash in on their irish roots :-(

except for andre ward of course

Sorry to be a pedant but it isn't. It's of Germanic origin.

TBF I haven't seen many people claim Chisora as English, still his accent is predominantly English.
