Well considering this is a discussion forum people are going to voice their opinions.....

I don't have a problem with this fight because it isn't a catchweight fight anyway but there are many people including some Journalists that think there are what 18 weight classes so these fighters need to pick one and fight in it and that catchweight fights cheapen the sport which it does.

Doesn't apply to this fight anyway since it is at 168 and Dawson agreed to it and said he has no excuses win or lose.

The comparision with Christian Bale is relevant here. Chad is clearly draining himself all the way to the impossible and weakness is to follow to make the weight and Andre's people are not giving him a little help. Severe dehydration is not to be recovered in 24 hours back to 175 plus of weight. Reminder: Chad was 187 pounds at fightnight against B'Nard and he is 6ft3in. Stupid goal Chad established for himself. Weak at fightnight leads Ward to steal the fight on superior gear and strength to score in and move out, blueprint Pascal-Dawson.

Yeah, that's right, but whining like a ***** about an adult male millionaire signing a contract for a fight at which he personally feels the financial remuneration compensates him for any suffering involved in weight-making is one of the more pathetic things to want to bleet about.

When that stretches as far as denouncing fights as "meaningless" and fighters as "cowards" because of the details surrounding the multi-million dollar payments given to the fighter who after discussing the details with his lawyers, doctors, and trainers, decides to sign the contract, is probably spasticated.

But on and on it goes.

Haven't seen anyone call anybody a coward and I watched the HBO Countdown show last night and Dawson said on two separate occasions he was OK with what the fight was going to be and had no excuses. He knows he has to agree to demands because he isn't a draw like Ward is is Oakland.

Not sure what you are so upset about here. It isn't even a catchweight fight so there is no use even bringing that up. :huh

I look forward to it and think it can be a good fight. Everyone on here are not always going to agree and if they did this World would be a boring place.

Still a good victory, every lb up would have made it better though.

Rico, I'm going to ban people on this forum for being spactards. That is going to happen. Lots. This type of whinging isn't going to get you anywhere.

The softly softly approach has turned this place into an outright ****ing disgrace.

Except 168 is an actual weight division in which Ward is an actual champion.

According to his training camp, Dawson will come in at the weight easily anyway.

Its 5 months between the Hopkins fight and this one.

Hes had months to adjust his training and diet to fight at this weight.

Instead of weighing in at 187 lbs on fight night, hes prob going to be 180.

You dont think a guy can lose 7 lbs, with profesional nutritionists, trainers etc, in 5 months?

**** off, its not a problem for dawson as he said so himself numerous times including when he first called ward out after the hopkins fight and on the 24/7 episode

Maybe if ward called dawson out and then wouldnt move up to fight you might have a reason to ***** but now you just being a tool

I like this fight a lot. The fact that Ward had the balls to accept the challenge from a bigger man, the fact that Chad is (probably) tired of fighting the dinosaurs of boxing and is willing to travel, to concede a comfortable weight, to concede neutral territory. That says alot about Dawson actually. I'd prefer a 171 catchweight, but in the end if Dawson feels he can make the weight, and he has plenty of time to do so, there's no reason to believe that this fight is meaningless.

Bad Chad did want it. Why does he come up with this **** now is beyond me. Is he looking for excuses, I don't know.

Anyway you can not blame The Best SMW in the world for this.

Dont be fooled, Chad isnt a great LHW, at SMW Ward will totally dominate the fight and win a very clear UD. Dawson has no inside game and Ward will keep him there and win easily.
Im not saying Dawson isnt better than A Green but I think the fight will be very similar

  15. Dawson called Ward out in public and even said he could make 168. Why would Ward accept any other weight after that?
