you know a useless statistic that holds no merit whatsoever

Like saying the guy has a better KO% than foreman, while technically this is true a boxer like George has more KOs than Vitali has fights

    its bull**** and meaningless

Vitali has only lost 2-3 rounds in career

David Haye because he only fights once every 2 years against some bum.

But Shannon Briggs has more first round KO's than any HW champ.

Briggs lost 12 to Vitali, Haye lost several to Wlad and several to Valuev.

Michael Spinks is probably the best shout.

But my point was that Shannon ended like 27 of his fights in one round.

    Agreed.

Lost the least number of rounds? So he has the least amount of wins? He has the most early-round KO's? He spent the shortest time as champ?

    - Or did you mean, least amount of rounds in his ENTIRE CAREER, including his first 4 rounder and his entire amateur career, even if he was only champ for a year?

If you meant "lost the least amount of rounds in his entire career as champion" then I think the answer is probably Buster Douglas.

Moore went back to 175 after he lost to Rocky and won the crown if I stand correct. Walcott was a late bloomer, and I won't argue about Louis, but Louis was on a good winning streak (8 fights I believe) and had beaten 3 Ring Magazine rated men.

So, let's be reasonable. You're hating.

Surely as champion Henry Akinwande is up there, did he even lose a round AS the WBO champion?

With era under consideration, from all reports and video, Jack Johnson would be worthy of a shout out.

    X 2

Plus Ezzard Charles twice. Although the Rocky fights mark the end of his relevant/winning ways, he is still Ezzard Charles.

I know LaStarza is largely relevant due to their controversial first fight, but he, Rex Layne, and Matthews are always dismissed as well.

    ---

When it comes to this thread, though, Rocky Marciano did lose a lot of rounds in each of:
    -LaStarza I
    -Walcott I
    -Charles I

    Rocky had a bad back.

Charles is always down graded....after Louis there were two belt factory's. Charles had some @ 7 defenses that are not counted...he did end up with the 'real' belt after beating some one appointed by the 'officials'.
Archie went up and beat up full heavies to get his fight with Rock. Archie was single row of top ten 195 pounds then got down to defend his Lt. Heavy title...they weighed in at 12 the same day of the fight back then.

Life magazine had an article of his Australian diet that Archie claimed to have learned there. Chew rare steak but don't eat it.

The Rock invented carbohydrate packing .... after the weigh in, he'd have a plate of spaghetti, and take a nap.

I rooted for Archie vs the Rock, in I saw more of Archie on TV. My folks rooted for the Rock.
    They had rooted for Joe.
I knew Patterson was going to beat my man Archie....it wasn't just Archie was so old...it was how blazing fast very young Patterson was.
