Ali was up at the count of three. The glove was torn, his corner did not cut it. He was given a measly 40 extra seconds to replace the glove which had to be done. The very next round he stopped Cooper after carrying him the entire fight. Do yourself a favor and acquaint yourself with the facts instead of regurgitating the myth.

As far as Vitaly goes....he was missing incredibly against Byrd, who isn't a fraction of the fighter Ali was, and was sucking wind by the 5th round. If Ali decides to move all night Vittles loses a wide UD. If Ali decides to lay on the ropes it becomes a harder fight, but certain things need to be considered. First, Vitaly is no ko puncher like Foreman was, he wears fighters down. The big problem here though is he's a head hunter. He doesn't go to the body the way George did to slow Ali down so the GOAT would still be fresh from not absorbing nearly as much punishment as he did with Foreman. the fight would be closer than if Ali danced, but in the end Vits is getting countered all night like George. I agree Ali doesn't knock him out, but its not a stretch to imagine an exhausted and frustrated Klit quitting just like he did against Chris Byrd, and thats exactly what I think would happen.

As far as you telling me to "shut the **** up"......:yep.....YOU MAD, Joe?

Before everyone gets on the (small light) Ali was the greatest boxer of all times, he was behind in points at 11 when he KO'ed Lyle.
Lyle was not 'known' as a boxing wizard.

That fight was in 1975. Hardly a fair reflection of Ali's abilities.

Yes I agree cuts would be a problem for Vitali. That is the problem with the Klitschko's. They have thin lunch meat skin. How can you say Vitali never really lost. Lewis beat Vitali fair and square that night. I just think Ali would be able to land and cut Vitali. I just don't think Vitali's skin would hold up for 15 rounds. Can you imagine how bad Holmes would have cut the Klitschko's with that jab. I think if the Klitschko would have been around in the Ali days they would have been called the bleeder brothers.

he didn't beat him fair and square, he used dirty tactics to open up a cut because he knew he was losing and couldn't win on a decision or by concussive blows. You are a trolling piece of butt hurting ****, pal. I don't recall either brother bleeding much in fights. Current Wlad vs prime Holmes would be a good match up, but the only guy getting stopped is Larry.

Goddamnit Vitali lost that damn fight. Lewis didn't do **** dirty. Its not his fault Vitali has lunch meat skin. That was a punch that cut Vitali. That cut was real bad the moment it happen. He was slicing up Vitali with PUNCHES. The reason they don't bleed much is because they don't get hit. If Lewis would have fought Vitali again it would have been worse for Vitali. He would have been cut up again. Lewis could have controlled Vitali if he would have used his jab more. Someone with a good hard jab and some size could beat both brothers easy. And Lewis would not have cut Wlad much because Wlad does not have the chin to last even a round with Lewis. Face it Lewis was just better than both Klitschko's. BTW TKO6

They weren't clean punches. He used the glove lace and the thumb to worsen it, but it was opened by rubbing the face of the glove in VK's face while Lewis had his arm around VK's neck. Illegal!

I refer you to the WBC rules, 16, 17 and 18. These are deemed illegal.

    16. Holding the opponent’s head or body with one hand while hitting with
    the other.
    17. Using the open hand to position or rub the glove on the opponent’s eye.

    18.Thumbing the opponent’s eyes.

Lewis did all three of these, which means it wasn't a legal stoppage. TD6.

natural yes, probably. ali had so many troubles vs norton and vitaly is bigger stronger and simply better than norton. but for me it is unfair. if we talk weight and size advantage, its like saying ward beats cotto, obviously, but cotto staying 6'2 and weighing as much as ward, who wins now?

Aren't gloves technically thumb-less now? You can't even move the thumb like you could in the old days.

Oh yeah, TKO 6, legal punch.

Check the WBC rule book and get back. No hit and hold, open glove shots or thumbing.

4-2 on all three cards. TD6.

Glassliver, I agree with you that Vitali would have a great chance at beating Ali. Nevertheless, that was one of the most obnoxious posts I've ever read.

Please post the video and point out exactly when he did these things. "It was a thumb", "it was the laces", "Lewis used his dreads", blah, blah, blah! He was beaten because he was hit with the harder more effective punches...end of story. Get over it or deal with it already. Surely if things happened as you've tried to say than the WBC, the ref or even Vitaly's team would have brought it to light. Why is it Vitaly doesn't complain of this but his delusional fans try and pass it off as if it were actually true?:patsch
