Steroids are used to gain adavantages that is not always the case with catchweight fights, sometimes catchweights are the only way to make fights happen,Whitaker-Chavez was at a catchweight would you rather not seen that fight just cause it was at a catchweight? the problem is that fans nowadays complain way too much about every little thing the perfect example is the Cotto-Pac fight the difference was one freaking pound and people still ***** about it today as if Cotto had to cut one of his legs of to make weight.its ridiculous.
I know not all catchweights are trying to gain advantage but lot are. To answer your point about PAC-Cotto, if it's just "one freaking pound" like you claim why did Pacquiao camp ask for the Catchweight in the first place ???
Dont know ask them, all i know is that whoever came up with that stupid idea ended up hurting Pac in the long run cause Pac didnt need no catchweight to beat Cotto it could be at the welterweight limit and the result would have been the same and nobody would *****(i think) and now cause of one freaking pound that win is disputed by some knuckleheads that think Cotto at 147 would be a different fighter, while others complain just for the sake of complaining cause Pac is their fav fighters biggest rival or cause Pac beat one of their fav fighters etc.
Every now and again a catchweight is fine but lacs career is based off them... Not to mention fighters coming off losses. But he is the peoples champ so we try not to mention that... I havent seen pac wobbled since pac - marquez 2, his chin is great Though marg hurt him with body shots
Pac=Iron Chin May=Reliable Chin. I'd say Pac just because he has taken more punches and never really wobbled. (Post Ledwaba Pac)
Both. But i'd be more worried about Mayweather getting clocked and turning jelly legged if he didn't have that defence of his. Pac's is better. Which is needed with the way Pac fights.
Pacman has a shorter neck and I doubt Mayweather his skull is big enough to compensate for his longer neck to make his chin much stronger than Paccy. (You get knockedout when your brain is hitting your skull, this happens when your head suddenly accelerates. the longer your neck the more swingy your head. A thick skull (Chavez sr.) also makes a good chin) So where is your reasoning? There are also nerve endings at the end of the jaw bones that make your legs go limp, if they get shocked. But we can't really measure which fighter suffers more from it. Probably what happened to this guy: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqC8AOr_Gl4[/ame] Also shape of thead, bones etc. determine how well your chin is. But those are not easily measured. You know those ugly guys without chin? (those who look like downies) Their chin can take punches much better than better looking bigger chins.(less leverage)
