I`d love to see a Greb fight, its tragic that film has been lost of one of the best ever fighters. I mean he had about 300 fights, wtf were those morons doing back then, sitting around picking the **** out of each others arses ? :-(

Its completely baffling, I don`t know what was going on back then.

The stupid ****s never learned their lesson it seems, I mean they have footage of Ray Robinson in the golden gloves in the 30s & footage of him as a MW in the 50s but almost no footage of him as a WW at his peak in the 40s... I mean who was in charge of **** when all this was going on ?... its criminal

Silver nitrate only lasts for like 40 years.

They never recorded the recordings because
    Greb is a featherfisted Ottke

For what we know, he could've been similar to Calzaghe... What a deception it would be haha.

Do we know they were never transferred from silver nitrate? If people were watching them in the 1960's, they probably were.

They found that Greb-Walker training footage in the early 90s, some 70 years after the fact. Those were on silver nitrate, yes? If so doesn't it kinda punch a hole in the 40 years theory?

    Really?
Let me look it up, 40 years is something I've heard on this forum, but I'll search it up.

It depends on how it is stored atleast.

Not as baffling as you think BB. Consider this...There are two other Hall of Fame fighters, both champions who had a TOTAL of 643 fights and NOT ONE film of them survives today...NOT ONE. Now that is BAFFLING...

If stored properly, 39 degrees, it will last as long as its replacement, safety film.
