Why wasn't Forrest offered the shot at Jones?

With all the names being thrown about for who would step up to fight Jones, Forrest Griffin is being criminally overlooked.
Forrest is a legend of the octagon, he's stepped up every time to fight for the company and if it wasn't for him and bonnar, Jon Jones and every other fighter wouldn't be fighting with the Ufc.
Forrest has pulled off the upsets before against Rampage, Rua, Ortiz etc. He's a warrior and deserved the shot for all that he has done for the company. He's just ended the legendary career of Tito Ortiz so he's in good form right now.

Forrest should never get a big fight again after Silva clowned him!

 

A. He would get close to murdered.
B. The fight wouldn't sell
C. He probably wouldn't take it, because he would get close to murdered.
D. Sonnen has done more to earn it.
E. Forrest looked like **** against Tito Ortiz not too long ago.

F. Sonnen was available and agreed to the fight already.

 

Also, anyone that doesn't believe Sonnen knew of Hendo's injury is ******ed. He knew, and the UFC knew, and the reason he started ****ing with Jones over twitter was simply to build interest in the event of Hendo pulling out.
