How come an old fat Foreman was able to come back 20 years later and win belt then?

How can a part-time golfer become heavyweight champion then?

All fairly obvious points, but what does any of this have to do with your original question?

    Wait, I've got it:

Boxing fans from the 1960's wouldn't stand a CHANCE against todays boxing fans. Put them in the same arena together, and it wouldn't even be close!

    Something like this? :huh

Exactly. And this was a much declined version of Foreman which was defeated by Ali in 1974!

As far as Arnold,it is not how big you are,it is about the " best physique" and prime Arnold was said to have the best one of all time.. To this day he graces covers of body building magazines,if there were other guys on his level he would not be on magazines 30 years later..

However people like to hang onto the past and hold onto nostalgia... The fact that no one could ever beat a prime Tyson or Ali is a joke.. There are at least a few guys that could beat both, but we all have to sit quiet and pretend that not one of them can be even touched..

Listing evidence from other sports is utterly ******ed when we have so much evidence from our sport. If you can't show why Robinson isn't as good as Martinez using the enormous amount of evidence on film and paper, it's probably because he's better.

If someone did a "Who do you think can beat a prime Ali or Tyson" you would might have a few replies for Tyson, but not Ali...You can include the over 100 years of boxing and you would be LUCKY to see someone say they would win ONE round..

Not because he is unbeatable by even one guy in a hypothetical, but because the very idea of him being beat, knocked down can not be grasped.. Even when he did get knocked down, people were crying that his toe was stepped on..

Athletes get better in every sport "except boxing" by most Esb standards..

I agree with topic starter on this one... i've said it myself and will not shy from sticking up to my belief. I dont think the greats would be walked all over but it is laughable to say that Ali would school most of the 1990,2000 and current champions. At the time he was the best, and at that time the rules were different (not necessarily boxing rules, but just rules of the game. different nutrition, different styles, different participation... you wouldn't see to many european fighters).

anyways everyone has thier own opinion that is why they are all ass holes (oh wait that saying goes a bit differently)
