Who wins? I think Steven would have too much of a size and strength advantadge. I just think Steven is a great fighter and trainer

I don't know if this is a serious thread, but i'd put my money on JCVD.
He's proven his skills in competition, and I'm not sure if Seagal has.
Plus, kickboxing has been proven as a practical martial art. Aikido, i'm sure has practical elements to it (i'm sure many are familiar with Machida and Silva's brutal front kick KOs taught by Seagal himself) but the art in it's raw unaldulterated form is never seen (or very rarely seen) in MMA.

Aikido demonstrations are very impressive, but i have doubts about "real world" application. In the real world, nobody maintains perfect form, and opponents never attack in a predictable manner.

So, on paper - JCVD for me. Lastly, Seagal might be taller, but i don't think there's a huge size discrepancy. JCVD's bulk is mostly muscle and i'm sure he's fought taller guys before.

Overall, kind of a silly discussion, but what the heck.....:)

Stoo quit mocking me. Ok now I did use to think Sapp was a good fighter. He had the ability to be. What happend I dont know?

Sapp beat the greatest kickboxer of all time with a kickboxing record of 0-0. Sapp almost beat Noguira who at the time was the 2nd best mma fighter in the World at the time with no experiance.

I always at least thought Sapp had the potential in him to a dangerous fight for anyone. Some how he just keep getting worse after every fight rather showing improvement with his gained experiance?

Sapp kept really hyping his fights and I was getting fooled into thinking the guy who fought Hoost might show up.

As for Seagal it irriatites me a lot when I hear people not giving him credit when Machida and Silva have admitted on video that Seagal showed them that technique. I get tired of Seagal not getting credit as a martail artist because there wasnt mma in his time to prove himself. When Seagal has studied martial arts for over 50 years and some people have the nerve to call him a fraud. It annoys me a great deal hearing that.

On paper it looks like JCDV would take it.

However, who knows, Seagal is probably the greatest foreign Aikido master out there.
