"Give" lol. It shouldn't be up to Mayweather to give Pacquiao anything, Pacquiao has more than earned his 50 percent. If this still becomes a roadblock in future negotiations than we know that Mayweather is truly ducking Pacquiao. Mayweather is the one that goes around saying he's better than Ali and SRR so the split shouldn't be an issue and he should be wanting to prove himself to live up to his bs.
never gave that excuse. Your using something he said and your interpreting it incorrectly.atsch In that very same interview he said he would like to fight Manny, but Manny does not deserve what he is asking for.:deal Please come with real info, not your incorrect inerpretation.:thumbsup
Why? Floyd is the champ in two weight classes and is setting PPV records right now. WTF is Pac doing :nut
Floyd makes pennies more from his fight with Cotto if he took a 50/50. Manny would more than double his highest payday. So no Manny has not "earned" 50%. If he "earned" 50 percent, we would see him doing the $94 million in revenue, or doing as many buys plus averaging as much revenue as Floyd but he does not.
I would not take the 50 million and give Manny 50 million. I would continue to fight everyone else for the same and not get raped in negotiations with Manny. Manny has never made more than 25 million for a fight. So he should accept what was offered as it's a fair offer. So Manny would rather sit back and make $22,500,000 fighting Bradley's and Marquez's 9 times...instead of fighting for $40,000,000 with Floyd. Floyd is the draw here and makes more revenue, sells more PPV, and makes more money per fight. Answered.
Thanks for answering, I can actually kinda see where you are coming from. I don't look at it from your view, a purely business-like one. I place more emphasis on the fact that if I were Mayweather I'd want to prove I'm the best and back up my words, give the fans what they want at last, and still get the biggest payday of my life in doing so. Instead of worrying that Pacquaio is getting his biggest payday too, as if he is stealing Mayweather's money, when in reality the money is not there unless the fight is there and it takes two to make the fight.
I respect that.:good But it is a business too. I see what your saying, but Oscar didn't give Floyd 50/50, and he wanted to prove he was the best. Oscar didn't give Manny 50/50 and he wanted to prove who the best was. I see what your saying, but I dissagree because you ignore the business part of the fight. Sure, as a fan I want them to do whatever it takes to get the fight done. 50/50, no drug testing, etc etc.. But I also understand Floyd's logic...he is in the A seat in negotiations and he isn't going to ignore that, "just to make the fight happen for his legacy." He has said before, he feels he is a much better fighter than Manny, so he already believes he is the best. Bring me back to the money. Wether me or you don't "look at it that way," is not relevant. What is relevant is that Floyd has tried everything that is logical to get Manny in the ring and Manny's team has said no everytime.:thumbsup Good post though!:good
:yep Pac rejected the best deal he'll ever see in 09.. 5050 split...14 day cutoff.. He's going to spend the rest of his life kicking himself in the ass for walking away from that sweet deal...
That was a sweet deal. I mean, why not take a 14 day cutoff if your truly clean? Some people say, well Floyd was gonna make something else up...cool bro...doesn't matter...if that's the case, then call him on it...they were in mediation when the 14 days was offered, so whatever he "came up with next" could have been worked on..so there goes *******s stupid statements.:rofl
