I wonder if a poster ( usually a troll ) will make another thread about "TKO6" here on ESB over 2,3 or even 5 years , still will generate interest ?! My opinion about Lennox vs Vitali fight is that Lennox won that fight and dominate Vitali , no doubt ! The term of "pizza face" probably comes from Vitali's face after that fight with Lennox ! The stoppage was correct because Vitali's face had severe cuts and contusions. The problem is that Lennox Lewis didn't give Vitali the rematch. IMO Vitali would've fully deserved that rematch, no doubt but probably Lennox didn't want to take the risk of a rematch with such a tough and awkward fighter like Vitali K.
Hes face was in no conditionto fight with but when you are winning on all 3 cards id say you atleast deserved a rematch where he could train properly It should have been a passin of the torch
Vitali still and will always will go down as winning that event. Lewis fans will keep yelling TKO 6 as if thats some wholly statement that can cloud everything that happened in the ring that night. But it won't work. Anyone who's watched that fight knows what happened. And everyone watching except really blind Lewis fans knows who would have won the rematch. Prime for prime lewis wins. But that old Lewis at the end of his career got lucky, very lucky that night.
