Floyd Mayweather-Thomas Hearns.

Hearns outboxed Ray Leonard and destroyed Duran.. He was a fearless fighter with pretty much every intangible that a boxing coach wants, Floyd is great and an ATG no doubt.. But Hearns was a real nightmare at 147 and 154, where Floyd isn't at his best..

 

Horrible matchup for Floyd. Hearns by KO unless Floyd runs for 12/15 rounds.

 

My money on Tommy Hearns, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather pulled it off.

Hearns is a stylistic nightmare for PBF he beats PBF.:deal

 

Mayweather would be hard pressed to win rounds. Forget about him winning the fight. It'd be a different fight than Benitez as well, who was better than Floyd at 147/154.

 

If Floyd catches Hearns when he is old or past it, the he wins. If not, Hearns beats him on points. Floyd has never fought a guy like Hearns.

 

If someone asked me to make the perfect fighter to beat Mayweather i could not do any better than Hearns.
Floyd lacks the dimensions, the skill, the style and the activity to even win a round.

The only question would be if Mayweather can take a sustained beating to last the rounds, personally i doubt it.

Horrible fight for Floyd.

 

I can see the others, but I burst out laughing when I read "the skill".

 

People making out that hearns would steam roll mayweather are wrong. It would be a much closer fight than people are making it out to be. Hearns would have trouble landing and would end up tiring himself out and would lose alot of the later rounds.
But due to his physical attributes he would still keep mayweather pinned back for the majority of the fight and would win rounds on pressure.

Mayweather is just as likely to be able to continuously time tommys punches as tommy is at knocking him out. Although with that said one big combo and it would be lights out floyd.


I understand mayweather has never been in the ring with anyone like hearns, but tommy has never been in with a fighter like mayweather. If either of them turned up to this fight not at their best they are in for a huge shock

 

Hard to say, really hard but I went for Floyd UD in a tough fight. Hearns would not out box Floyd over 12 rounds and Floyds defence is just far too good to get knocked out. People talk about one time he was rocked against Shane Mosley and he recovered really quickly.

I think the glow of history and legacy maybe clouds people judgements sometimes. Doubt Floyd would have fought him but didn't choose that option as the polll said who wins (presuming that the fight does take place) therefore making that option invalid.
