Respect for Cotto looking for new and different challenges and giving someone else a crack. Cotto by ko between 4-7
to the contary, im glad its not Canelo. Too many times the guys without the fanbase dont get the shot, hopefully Canelo gives Lara a shot next.
Cotto breaks his ass down and eventually spanks it raw. Trout's dollar-store slickness might suffice against the Rigo Alvarezes and Frank LoPortos of the world, but he isn't showing Cotto anything he hasn't seen before. Even D-Rod, reliably solid as he is (er, was... :! isn't near as skilled as Cotto at shrinking the ring down and neutralizing a boxer. Plus, his desire to even try anymore doesn't seem to be up to his old familiar standard ...leading me to think the well-traveled, battle-weary, hard-luck pug might have thrilled us at a high level for the last time. It isn't so much that anything has rattled my faith in Trout's chin (having gone twelve with at least one monster puncher without any alarm bells: Lopez, who's far more dangerous than his KO rate suggests and is freakishly big for 154) so much as it is absolute faith in Cotto to use all the wits and strengths at his disposal to get the job done. As much as Trout lacks the slickness to pull off a clinical boxing performance like a Mayweather (who himself only beat Cotto 116-112 on my card) he also lacks the power to get and keep Cotto's respect. So even if his chin was cast-iron, he'd still have the beast that is Miguel Cotto walking through everything and gunning for him with offense firing on all cylinders. My guess is an early investment in the vicious body attack during pursuit weakens Trout's legs en route to a late Cotto layout.
Pay Per View or Showtime? :think Has GBP said what they were planning for Cotto's December 1st outlet? :huh I can't recall.
