Floyd is NOT outboxing Tommy Hearns! Tommy is one of THE greatest Boxers OF ALL TIME. Pure Boxing? Tommy was simply breathtaking.
to the people saying floyd doesnt have the skills to test hearns, behave yourselfs, it would be a great fight and maybe floyd gets beat but its retarted to say he wouldnt have the skills to test hearns
i would say hearns takes it, probably by KO. floyd doesn't have the explosiveness to halt this freight train; he would get caught in the mid rounds and hurt badly. hearns would be a stylistic nightmare for mayweather.
Hearns can either outbox or outfight Floyd is what is a mismatch . Tommy was a huge welter and Floyd rather small.
This thread has been done a million times and always end up with Hearns winning and rightfully so, theres maybe only a couple of fghters i cant see beating Hearns at Welterweight or Junior Middleweight and none of them is named Floyd Mayweather. This fight could go two ways in one one Floyd moves and boxes carefully and loses a clear decision the other Floyd takes more risks tries to get past Hearns great jab and gets caught by a right hand bomb and ends up in the canvas looking up at the lights.Either way Hearns is the winner here.
i voted hearns by KO. mybad, i want to change it coz i didn't saw the option that floyd would duck him. that is the most likely scenario.
Maybe because Floyd is fighting at 147, and has fought at 154? How crazy people are, comparing guys that have fought in the same weight class. Whatever next? Actually expecting guys that are active at the same time, at the same weight, to actually fight each other???? Lunacy.
you completley missed his point, he said there NATURAL weights, roy jones fought at hw once why are there never articles about jones vs ali, frazier etc :huh
There are. What's Floyd's natural weight? Do you think he could make lightweight now? Plenty of people make fantasy matchups with Duran fighting above the weight he made his name at. It's been nine years and 12 fights since Floyd fought below 140. I think it's fair to say he's no longer a lightweight. If somebody is saying it makes one guy better than the other, that's different. As far as I can see, it's a fantasy fight between 2 guys at a weight they both fought at, for a fair number of fights. Does that mean people can't compare Holyfield, Haye, Michael Moorer etc. as heavies? That's not their "natural" weight either. I'd argue Floyd is s fully fledged welter now. I can't see him making lightweight again. Just as Holy became a fully fledged heavy.
How many fights do you think Hearns had at 154? Plenty of people say he's possibly the best ever at that weight. How many fights did he have there.
well, if both of them was at 147 at the same time, can floyd excuse himself out of a hearns fight at WW by saying that he has only fought 5 times at the weight?
