Based on what, though? Geale has the scalps of Karmazin, Sylvester, Adama and Sturm (and arguably over Mundine). What has Golovkin done to warrant being favoured over the #2 of the division?

agree Golovkin hasn't the best resume yet but he is very special. Outside of Ward and Dawson there arn't many fighters at LHW, SMW and MW which could beat Golovkin

I get nervous that the more Geale wins, that better it makes Mundine look...

Congrats Geale, I'm surprised he secured the close decision over there.

What? Golovking is an untested medium sized MW who could end up another Lemieux for all we know. Granted, I don't expect him to bomb as hard as Lemieux (based on his amateur achievements alone) but please point to a fight which would indicate that Golovkin is a P4P (which you implied) boxer? How can anyone achieve that status without having fought anyone with a pulse?

:nono at Martinez easily beating Chavez, Golovkin easily beating Proksa, Martinez wasting Geale, or Golovkin wasting Geale?

:think I stand by all four branches of that statement. :yep

Name a boxer on Golovkin's resume who's better than any of the four mentioned. You have a point when he beats Proksa tonight who tooled Sylvester but as of now, I don't see how one would conclude that Golovkin would wreck Geale. Again, based on what?

An Australian performed well in the ring? My God. What is happening in the world. Sturm must have really had his last hurrah against garbage ass Zbik.

Makes it easier for white chocolate to unify the division.

As a pro, admittedly just based on form. Until tonight he's been too avoided to have any top names on his resume.

That was a terrific performance by Geale. I've just become a fan :happy

Hope he gets a shot at the Martinez/Chavez winner.

It's not purely a matter of being avoided though since Golovkin couldn't fight anywhere that would make money until this past year thanks to his Universum lawsuit. Only Sturm and N'Jikam can reasonably said to have avoided him; that description applies to no one else.
