Nobody here is going to say pacman. He has elite footwork , one of his best attributes.

I would think posters would be dropping their reasons
like Aaron pryors ability to keep the lead foot and cut off the ring
pac's footwork is very good back and forth laterally though it's not as good
Lopez was great at closing and throwing short power punches behind the jab that his opponent never saw
JMM always seems to have the outside food advantage even against floyd

Why don't you just say "Pacquiao", then proceed to talk about what was so good about his footwork, instead of acting so surprised that on the first page, having a hundred all time greats to choose from, his name hasn't popped up?

Right, great points for all mentioned. Though that last part confuses me as Floyd isn't a southpaw, but JMM's footwork is very impressive.

he's off balance and crosses his feet too much. Then he doesn't know how to cut off the ring.

He has fast feet, but his footwork isn't elite

His footwork is the opposite of what you just said.

Manny has insane footspeed and moving in straight lines he has killer foot work

Pac's footwork is what caused him to get clipped here

To be fair, JMM is the only one to effectively exploit that so far. So has Morales, but he exploited it in a different way. Unless you're an expert laterally-minded counter-puncher who can feint in the pocket (or a pressure-fighter who can also counter), Manny will turn you all night and hop in and out to punish you, and there'll be nothing you can do about his lunging and squaring up and over-stepping.

I suppose you could call his footwork elite because it's a large part of what brings him success, considering how flawed the rest of his game can be, even though it's not technically full-proof. It's more than speed, it's craft.
