I've never known the real reason why Ken and Eddie split. Have n't read Ken's book yet, sadly.

I liked both fighters, Norton more than Holyfield though.

But I would favor Holyfield. Holyfield was just a little better than Ken at everything. Plus Holyfield was naturally tougher.

Dont bother to read it. It was one of the worst books Ive ever read.

My own view is that there would have been a conflict of interest for Eddie to train and manage two top 5 heavyweights. Norton also wanted to be the center of attention at least in his own camp. He had alot of ego.

they look nothing alike on film.. similar physiques, thats it. different styles. I think Holy would beat the **** out of Norton and stop him late, he has the power and combos to do it and will actually sit on his punches unlike Ali.. I think he would win for sure

Holyfield had trouble with Stewart and Moorer. I dont see him beating the **** out of Norton who was better than either of those guys. His awkwardness would work in his favor. He was good defensivley.

Its a good fight and probably a distance fight everytime.

no i don't think he could. And that's not what I said, either. Holy would have an easier time with Norton than Ali did though (Ali was past it against Norton...), with that being said, Ali would've beat up holy just because of styles.

not saying you are, but whoever brings this fight up and feels it has relevance is generally very uneducated on Holyfield. He was nearly having a heart attack in the ring and still nearly managed to beat Moorer (some had him winning). The rematch is evidence that healthy Holyfield would beat Moorer comfortably (maybe not as comfortably as he did in their second fight though)

Norton does better than Holyfield against Ali and prime Holmes. Holyfield does better than Ken against the big punchers such as Foreman. I can't see Evander actually beating a prime Foreman but he does better than Ken did.

I think Kenny has the style and conditioning to stay in there with Commander Vander every time. My question is with the other guy, oddly enough. Even though he has much the better whiskers.

I think the big advantage Norton has is that 2 fisted body assault of his. I think absorbing body punishment is not what Evander does best and he really absorbs much better upstairs than downstairs. As a matter of fact, he gives guys his head sometimes. But Toney and Bowe in that 3rd fight did him in with body shots. Who went better to the body than Ken Norton?

I think he can and will hurt Evander to the body. That softens him up and just like Bowe/Toney did, come upstairs for the stoppage late. Possibly. But only after landing to the breadbasket. I think that oddball jab lands and Holyfield cannot solve it and what does Norton do after he jabs? 2 handed body shots.

But Evanders sneaky lefthook will land on a cross armed defense. And Kenny backing up when shook is in big big trouble. I just don't know if Evander is "finisher enough" to get him out of there. But that sneaky shot can and will hurt him. Terrific match and perhaps a case of 1 guy leaving a lot of himself in the ring.

After doin such research..Ali's past he's always had a problem with the oponents left hook..(Cooper, and Frazier, and Norton)..So its a possiblity Holyfield could have Hurt or stunned Ali with some big combanations and throwing that hook..Who know what would have happened!..

So would Holyfields deadly left hook be effective against Ali since he was submisable to the left hook!?
