Just watched Golovkin destroy a very game and talented opponent in Proksa. Proksa put a beat-down on Seb Sylvester. Golovkin is now Geale's mandatory. Time for that Mundine rematch. GGG is Tszyu reborn at 160. What a fighter...
NO ONE will want to fight GG after that scary performance. I wonder if a healthy Pirog would still be keen?
I reckon Pirog should take on Golovkin next and the winner take on Geale. As for Geale, a fight against Soliman at Hisense Arena would be a great fight for Victoria, it would be a good gauge of what should be for him an increased newfound fanbase against a popular Victorian boxer, with an approx 8,000 capacity.
Why the **** do people keep mentioning Solimon and Geale, solomin gets his ass handed to him each time he steps up he is a good domstic fighter nothing more.
Didn't watch the fight but will get to it later. Was busy watching the raiders pump the kiwis :happy Did GGG look the goods or did proska fight the same fight in his loss to hope? He seems to be a bit hot and cold
Soliman's his mandatory. He's been shafted many times by the IBF and keeps winning eliminators. He deserves a shot more than any other fighter in the IBF.
GGG looked good, but not spectacular IMO. Geales workrate and movement would put more pressure on GGG than what Proksa could. Geale would also get hit less, GGG isn't all that fast and Geales head movement and defence is better than ever. Proksa looked ordinary IMO.
Watched the final 2 rounds and tripple G looked good. Options galore for geale now, a predicament he deserves.
GGG looks the monster. It will be very hard for anyone to keep him off them. It's no wonder he's one of the most avoided fighters right now.
Home final mate for the green machine. With the new finals format, a road trip would have been out of the question if we lost, since it would have been a Townsville game. GG was just impressive with his power. He still got tagged a bit. It wasnt super slick boxing on his part. I havent seen Proksa v hope, but geez Proksa didnt respect GG, not guarding up and lurching forward with jabs, leaving his chin out there.
The best possible fight for Geale would be against the winner of Chavez v Martinez for all the middleweight marbles. I'd suggest a fight with Martinez would be easier to make because of their respective promotional arrangements (i.e. Gary Shaw gets on well with Lou Di Bella & not so well with Bob Arum). And there's nothing wrong with taking care of his IBF mandatory obligations against Sam Soliman in order to stay busy in the meantime. Only a poorly managed fighter would go straight to Golovkin next. Besides, HBO wants a Golovkin v Pirog fight & presumably they still do.
