I agree. GGG manhandles heavyweights because he just doesnt feel threatned by anyone his size including the top 168lbers. He's not one dimensional, he's not flashy, he doesn't get frustrated, he's much stronger than he looks, and importantly a great bodypuncher, a valuable tool against larger fighters aside from an anvil-like jab. He's savvy enough and dangerous enough to yes even dethrone Ward. You don't see GGG being a real threat because of his size or speed against the best at 160-168 be prepared to get shocked.
Wow. Let's be real, no 154 fighter can handle his power. Especially not Cotto ffs. If Judah and Margarito can rock Cotto then Golovkin would knock his head off his body. And as good as Mayweather is he will get hit at some point, and he wouldn't be able to take it. That I'm sure of.
Golovkin would have some trouble against some 168 fighters but Froch isn't one of them. I think Golovkin would feast on the easily hit, over rated Froch.
I'd favor him over everybody from 154-160. Martinez gets stopped before 8, Cotto and Canelo before 6, and he'd annihilate Geale, Chavez Jr, Lara, Trout, Kirkland, etc. Golovkin is the goods. His power is otherworldly and he has the timing and chin to land it.
People are getting carried away, in the same way people got carried away by Abraham and Bute. Let's see Golovkin in with a live elite before we rush to judge him either way. Yes, he looked impressive against a guy with 6 weeks training only 2 fights removed from a loss to a journeyman, but I doubt he'd be as impressive with some of the guys already mentioned.
Little known fact: Dirrell beat him as well in the amateurs: [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andre_Dirrell[/ame]
because Sergio is the MW king and fought much better competition than this guy (as a pro). Triple G impressed me last night, but only on offense. His defense really disappointed me and I think Sergio would not find it hard to connect on him. Plus Sergio is much better than Proska and I'm confident has much more power too to go along with speed.
I def want to see him in there again that is for sure. Nice to see a new face on HBO instead of the recycled guys we usually get.
From what I saw in the last fight, he would KO anyone from 154 to 160. He would beat most 168.Only Ward or Froch would have a chance to beat Golovkin, but I'd even pick Golo to beat both of them. He is THAT good. yea!!! I was really impressed.
