No i didnt but i know how bad Hope is, and in the end he dragged Proksa into a real fight, Proksa put the wrongs right but the wrongs had already been done

Proksa isnt a solid yard stick for the MW division IMHO, the Golovkin demolition underlines that

I don't think whether or not you scored it for Proksa or hope matters, the reason it is brought up is because a world class fighter probably shouldn't be having a real hard time to beat someone who is far below world level.

So what does Golovkin need to do? Beat Martinez in order to be considered legit? He could blow out Geale and haters would still be saying Geale wasn't any good and he needs to beat Martinez in order to be given a chance. Martinez didn't want to fight Golo last year, and Pirog just pulled out, Quillen turned down Golovkin as well.

Fighters in his division are certainly showing him respect. :yep

How can Floyd duck someone 2 weight classes above his natural weight?

He's done what you'd expect a top fighter to do against the type of opposition he's faced so far. I think we need to reserve judgement until he's faced someone at the top level then we can really see what he's about. It looks like he'll be facing Geale next, who whilst not being an elite fighter, is a solid World Class operator and a step up from the good but flawed Proksa.

And I'm saying the last 2 guys Sergio fought did just that against same level comp, several times.

Are Barker and Macklin the only two wins on Martinez's resume?

Don't bother arguing with him. There's absolutely no chance you'll ever get a reasonable response from him.

As for GGG's chin: I liked it but the fact that he hasn't been down yet is irrelevant to me. Not being down in your amateur career is impressive but that's what Dzinziruk also claimed before he faced Sexy Sergio. Golovkin's opponents so far have posed no threat to him so I remain sceptic but it does look very solid so far. His susceptability to left hands is clearly more relevant.

I think PRoksa level is at the Euopean stage and those guys against Proksa would be good fights.

What point do you think that I'm making? I'm saying he's a decent 2nd tier middle, not unlike the other 2, and I had him beating Hope clear. He should go down in weight, he'd have a better chance there.

As for the GG hype, by all means hold off, this was his first top 20 win. I didn't see where the hype was coming from after Ouma, but I'm beggining to see it.

    Golovkin should fight David Haye

    It's a 50-50 fight

I'm still waiting for an answer as to how GGG would give Mayweather the same treatment as Proksa. Or Martinez for that matter.

Guys, how can anyone pick Golovkin over Mayweather? Please explain.

People on ESB got the shortest ****ing memories in known existence.

Including and shockingly Rumsfield who is one of the most intelligent boxing minds.

Rumsfield called Bute a hypejob and a fraud WAY BEFORE he got exposed by Froch, yet let's ask ourselves this:

    Who fought better opponents

Goloevkin right now? Or bute leading up to the Froch fight?
    Bute

    Who looked more impressive overall:
    Bute

    Who looked more unbeatable?
    Bute

Who had hundreds of threads dedicated to him?
    Bute

    What happened to Bute?

Now here is GEnnady with LESS of a resume then Bute, and even LESS Proven and yet people are now saying he can beat Martinez and have a legit shot of beating Ward and will KO Froch.

I can see his size giving him trouble as he weighed 168 last night, BUT if the fight took place at 154, he would obviously come into the ring smaller. Floyd would need his legs for this fight and a 35/36 year old Floyd may struggle to do that.
