Canelo is just too strong and too fast for Cotto....what indication is there that he could beat a high level 154 pounder? That he landed some good punches against Floyd? i cant see this schooling when Cotto fought Margarito at catchweight, Yuri Foreman and Mayorga for ****s sake.
Cotto ain't ducking Alvarez... After he beats Trout the Unifacation fight with Canelo is bigger. (Would take the May 5th date/weekend from Mayweather easily) But Sept would make more sense.
Just saw JL's resume on Boxrec & all I have to say is Canelo should be EMBARRASSED to be fighting guys of this caliber at this point, not to mention the guy is making a huge step up in weight considering he fought recently for the first time at welter (he only made 144 though). I don't care what anybody says, but no wonder Alvarez is looking for his next opponent so soon after this "fight," I mean, there's no chance in hell this guy can beat CA at 154.... that is, unless CA comes drunk and overdosed in xanax... I'm absolutely sure there must have been a better opponent for him at 154.... actually, there are several extremely better at that weight division!!
