I agree mate, **** poor, they should be chasing the winner of Chavez/Martinez , its one thing to get title shots in Germany but another thing to make something out of it and turn Geale into a superstar, it comes down to basic bad managment. Look at someone like Steve Cunningham, similar situation, is almost unknown in the states and has to fight in germany to make a living.
Martinez won't fight again for six months if he wins. Plenty of time to squeeze in a tune-up at home against the IBF mandatory.
I honestly hope Geale does not go down the Gorilla Soliman route but it seems likely or else he will be getting stripped of at least 1 of his belts. A fight on HBO plus all the PPV money from the fight being broadcast back into Australia as well as many parts of the world would mean much more $. Gorilla Soliman aint even that big of a draw anyways.
And ? Geale's own fanboys on here are begging for Geale to fight Gorilla Soliman. I think that tells you how he would go against Golovkin.:yep
Geale should stay away from Golovkin anyway, its very high risk/low reward. But he'll want to keep his belts, so he might take the fight.
There's confidence for you right there , congratulations to Gealzaghe on the part unification of the title Sox but I reckon Super Super G will box the SOX off Daniel , but good for him if he attempts to go for full unification of the title , the lad shows character in spades .
Hey you unbathed mother ****er, how are ya? I've only seen about 4 of GGG's fights, including the one the other day, and I see nothing that Geale wouldn't be able to handle. Geales defence is better than ever, his chin is granite, and he would take GGG out of his comfort zone with workrate and slickness. Don't get me wrong, GGG is good, but I think he's being overrated a little.
FFS Gennady is a good boxer with ferocious power but I think a lot of people are starting to overrate him a bit e.g on the BF, people are starting to say he has more power than Wlad Klitschko!!! My question is: who has he actually fought besides Proska (who doesn't impress me at all) to warrant such a reputation?? I think he can beat Geale and even ko him but I also think Geale can outwork him and hold him off for twelve rounds based on his workrate and speed. However if you're basing an easy win for GG on ko's of bums from Europe than you're just jumping on the GG bandwagon and need your head read.
Overated eh !! Amateur record 245-5 with wins over some big names , a stoppag over Bute among them. If he fought some second string fighters in the pro's it was only because the name fighters were ducking him. His toughest test to date was 33yr old Ugandan s/paw Kassim Ouma in Panama June 2011 defending his WBA title. Winning by TKO 10. Well worth a look on You Tube. Imo Golovkin performs even better against orthodox boxers. Geale would be in very deep waters if they ever meet.
Nah Proska is a very good fighter ( our Kerry caught him at his worst and Proska destroyed him in the rematch ) as for GGG'S just knocking out euro bums you would be surprised on the standard of these "bums " as you label them , as for bandwagon. Jumping ? Well it's not my style mate ive rated GGG for a few years now and his win over Proska will obviously get the fan boys screaming like chicks at. Beatles concert and proclaiming all sorts of **** by thats these boxing forums for you ,
GG aint no Lacy. I think Sturm fought Daniel in a unification bout to avoid him. He is being avoided and Golovkin has beat Geale,Dirrell and Bute as an Amateur apparently. Geale will be ringside for SM v JCCjr to I assume challenge the winner. Better risk/reward.
