So week of the fight. Miranda clearly isn't what he once was, but still carries dynamite.

I'm more intrigued to know whether Bellew is going to put box like Ovill II or box and break him down and stop him.

I think Bellew should be looking to stop him in the later rounds. I think a cautious UD isn't enough here.

    Thoughts?

Agreed. If Bellew is as good as we're told he is, he needs to get Miranda out of there in good fashion. This is a guy who was at his best as a middleweight, remember. Bellew is a big light-heavyweight, somebody who competed as a heavyweight in the amateurs. A cautious, safety first win over a faded force like Miranda won't do at this stage.

Whatever happens, I'm expecting a fun fight!

Win or lose I'll still support Bellew but this is a levels fight. IF Bellew is as good as he thinks he can be then he should outbox Miranda comfortably and put him away once he analyses and masters his patterns.

This fight has fireworks written all over it.

It won't go past the 6th.

Never overlook opponents! Look what happened to Dudey, Khan...

Bellew SHOULD beat Miranda at this stage, but if he gets complacent Miranda will put him asleep. If Ovil could deck him badly, Edison could.

I don't think Bellew is the type to get complacent, seems too hungry and focused. But fair point, Bob Ajasafe knocked him down so Miranda will fancy his chances at least early on.

Is it just me or has the August drought of Boxing felt like about a year! Even though Bellew/Miranda isn't exactly a tough assignment for Tony IMO, it should still be entertaining.

    The undercard is very decent.

Well it's a 3 and a half hour show, so we should see..

    Bellew/Miranda
    Carrasco/Purdy

Both will probably end within the distance, so maybe Ochieng will be shown live along with Martin Ward as he's making his debut.

Then highlights of Ryder and Evangelou.

This is a fight where we will see what level Tony is at and what he can achieve.

He seems to be a learner who improves quite quickly, he was great in his last fight and hopefully he'll win on Saturday.

I'm ****ing excited for this. Tony said himself that he isn't looking for a points win and doesn't consider that good enough. He wants to make a statement in this fight.

It wouldn't surprise me if both men hit the canvas and bellew gets the win
