Fight is a joke. Either way with the short amount of time he had it wasnt going to be quality weight. Gaining a true solid ten pounds takes longer than people think.

Was able to rock who? Josesito.

As far as I know, I don't believe he has ever been dropped as a pro, and did a damn fine job holding up under the hard shots (even the several behind the noggin) from a much bigger Ortiz. To me he has a decent chin :bbb

A bad deal getting injured by a much bigger man and maybe not being the same ever again

They make weight classes for a reason guys. He's gonna get brick walled vs canelo.

"eating a high protein diet" lol. Who is his nutrinionist? He should be eating 4 bigger meals a day. Why do they have him eating six times so his metabolism burns even more.

I'm completely on board with honoring weight classes. I'm also a realist.

Hopefully Lopez doesn't get hurt, but you can see why he signed that contract.

Is Canelo really that much naturally larger than a Tree? Because Josesito broke a Tree's jaw last time out. Just sayin'.

This is a very well thought out analysis.

I'm sure Lopez is focusing on performance, and gaining weight is just a consequence of his new diet/training for his new weight class. If he's just focusing on weight he's in trouble. His frame can handle more weight especially in his hips/legs. I bet he's mixing in some powerlifting to his routine, especially squats and deadlifts (at least I hope so).

I hear Lopez walks around at 175 and was even officially 166.5 mid August. I think he's bigger than most people realize and was probably draining himself in his previous fights. He looked great against Ortiz and although I think Canelo is going to win I am slightly intrigued for some reason.
