I pick Charles, Walcott and spinks to beat Jones at LHW.. Cruiser.. Holy would do the trick. Middle.... I would probably only favor SRR and Monzon to do the trick. I see fights with GMan and Hagler as 50/50 fights.. PRIME for PRIME NOT the one that SRL fought. HW... too many to name

I definitely think Robinson could afford to lose a stone to Jones and still prevail.

There's noone else i'd favour over him though. Obviously hundred's of guys would beat him throughout history but i'd make them all an underdog prefight.

There's no getting around a weight advantage like that when there's that kind of talent across the ring from you. Roy was at least a light heavyweight. And at that, I'm not even dead certain a powerhouse like Foster would come up roses. I conservatively choose Charles and Spinks to turn the trick, but it'd be very, very difficult.

A Prime John Conteh - In Vicious Mood...with his Noggin .Phazer set to Stun..

A couple of names to throw into the Hat

A Passing Through Lt Heavy, Jimmy Ellis - Speed Boxing Ability ..and that Dangerous right Hand...(Johnny Persol might second that !?) .

Mauro Mina...something of a mystery man ...could perhaps spring a surprise ?

Jimmy the Cat Dupree and Richie Kates as interesting outsiders

I'd like to see Roy go into the lions den and fight guys like Turpin in London. McClellan at Cobo Hall. Or pull a Hagler and face all those tough hombres out of Philly in their backyard and see if he comes out with wins or if the wear and tear factor rears its head.

I've always thought Mclellan had the tools to beat Jones at SMW.Strangely enough i wouldnt give Benn a chance against him but Mclellan would haveat least given Jones problems im sure of it.

Thats fair enough all about opinions. I just dont think he fought anyone as aggressive and heavy handed as Mclellan. Im not saying its a given i just think he would have given Jones alot to handle.

Apart from that the Hagler who beat Minter would have beat Jones IMO at MW, if i go back much further than that im going off hearsay.

Yeah there's alot more at LHW who would beat him, Spinks, Moorer. Going up to CW a prime Holyfield would have murdered him.

The best versions of Robinson & Hagler at MW likely have the perfect combination of ability & experience for that version of Jones at MW.

You`d fancy guys like Charles, Foster & Spinks to get the job done at LHW, probably by knockout.

I`d also give the best MW version of McCallum a shot here, whether I`d actually pick him to win is another thing but his technical ability & experience advantage would make it a nightmare for Roy I think.

I likely wouldn`t pick any SMW over Jones but I think Calzaghe stylewise will always give him hell & has a real shot to pull the upset, I wouldn`t bet big on it though.
