    Some Pro Boxers follow?

Cotto's routine for the Floyd fight was a great blend of new and old ideas. Whereas Ricky Hatton's routines (Bodybuilding, Liquid meals etc) were pretty stupid/pointless for a fighter on that level.

I think it was from season 3 of the contender where I saw one of the guys jumping back and forth sideways over a medicine ball 3 min at a time. I've tried doing this, and I've yet to last an entire round without stopping, and I've to try this for more than 1 round. Anyone else do this?

    yes that's the current fad.
I know your just relaying info, so this is not directed at you when I say paleo is total bs. you think if an "old timer" came across honey he would pass that **** up? please.

oh yeah, one more thing, badgers and bears have a lot more wicked teeth for flesh than humans do. they eat honey.

I'll try to keep from veering off. stay on target. lol

Not sure if it counts, but Michael Katsidis does light sparring in the locker room just before he fights.

90% of fighters get warmed up in the locker room in one way or another. Truth be told.. I am suspicious of certain fighters of coming in cold and getting warmed up during the first couple rounds of the fight. The slow starters who just pick up the pace more as the fight continues...

If you're referring to Hatton it was a body building routine and it was ****ing terrible for a boxer. I guess that's what happens when you employ an ex bodybuilding champion to design your weight training routine...

When it comes to weights all I do are squats and deadlift, 5x3 with heavy squats to avoid hypertrophy, aiming for explosiveness and speed if anything. A boxer aiming for mass is so wrong...
