In terms of a great HW fight it may not even be top 50 (not that I have done a list).....in terms of historical significance it may be a top 20 fight though.

Nowhere near, off the top of my head:

    Marciano-Walcott 1
    Marciano-Charles
    Bowe-Holyfield trilogy
    Ali-Frazier trilogy
    Tyson-Holyfield 1
    Ali-Foreman
    Lennox-Vitali
    Ibeabuchi-Tua
    Bowe-Golota 1&2
    Schmelling-Louis 1

The first fight was a one sided boxing lesson with no ebbs and flows or drama.

You are watching 12 minutes of highlights which means they put the most exciting twelve minutes together for that clip, and they arent all that exciting.

    Nowhere near the top ten.

It's not a great ebb and flow fight, more an emphatic demonstration of one fighter's superiority over another. Also, the 10 round limit leaves me a little cold. Still, Tunney looks great on film after he shakes the nerves.

I can't say it was anywhere close to a top 10 all-time heavyweight fight. I did find it more watchable than the rematch which was a real bore for 7 rounds. Tunney was really letting his hands go in the first fight to gain Dempsey's respect, while Dempsey atleast early on looked a threat.

Here is more of the first Tunney-Dempsey fight:

If a guy wins 9 or 10 rounds out of 10, it's safe to assume he has his number...

    Agreed.

    Ditto.

    No it isn't.

    Agreed.
