"Someone Up There Likes Me" movie

    TCM showed the movie Tuesday nite re:
    Rocky Graziano played by Paul Neuman.

    Some well made fight scenes were staged.

    I have two copies off of TCM.... Newman did a good enough job for me back in '56.... Thumbs up......

    I enjoyed it. I liked it more than "****** On My Back", the biographical movie of Barney Ross.

    Good film. Newman was great as Graziano. And Tony Zale did a great Tony Zale :D

    "Somebody up there likes me" is a great film never heard of "someone ..."

    Tony Zale didn't play himself, SG. A look-alike stuntman had ta do it. Zale couldn't pull his punches 'n broke Newman's ribs the first day of rehearsal

    Until your post i always suspected that the guy playing Tony Zale was NOT Tony Zale. But I thought people age differently so it MIGHT be Tony Zale...Just as well,as the disparity between the young thinner Paul Newman and the hard as rock Tony Zale would not as seem as credible.... :good

    Thanks for that,John. I never realised. The lookalike was pretty good though,was n't he ?
