Let's be honest. the marquez that fought mayweather was the worst we've ever seen. He jumped two weight divisions and did not have a conditioning to help him. He gained weight by ****ing throwing rocks and drinking his urine. He was so out of shape and it showed. In the pac fight he looked like a full pledged WW and kept his speed and power. And that was because of his conditioning coach Heredia. Secondly everyone here agrees that two or one lbs makes a whole lot of difference. mayweather cheating the scales showed me that he was not confident in beating marquez in an even playing field. Or else why would he cheat? I mean he is a small WW and could have easily weighed 144 but why did he not honor the contract? I thinkg if they rematch at 147 with marquez having a conditioning coach and mayweather not cheating the scales it would be different outcome or atleast a very close fight. I would love to see it again as I don't think that was the best Marquez that we saw fought mayweather,
when Marquez fought May, May took him out of his gameplan. May made Marquez the aggressor, and made him look like a fool.
You think that 2 ****IN pounds didn't make a difference? come on if it didn't then floyd would have honored the contract. And him not having a conditioning coach going up two divisions hurt him bad.
Oh no he didn't... Missing weight and catchweight fights, dragging fighters way out of comfort zone don't apply to Floyd.. OH NO HE DIDN'T!!!
Does better but still loses. Even though he put on the weight much better against Manny and retained his speed and movement, it's still added weight onto a frame that's smaller than those of most 135-pounders held by a man 39 years old who counters better than he leads. If Marquez is ever to close the distance and bait & counter in the pocket or mid-range with any success against someone as athletically gifted and stylistically challenging for JMM as Floyd is, it's going to be in a younger, quicker body. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuZvo6IF528[/ame] The fact most fighters have won more rounds against Floyd and that arguably none of them were as skilled as Marquez suggest it was more than simply a gap in boxistic ability which differentiated them that night.
Mayweather would have UD'd him the same way he did back in '09. A "conditioning coach" isn't going to make Marquez a better boxer than Mayweather.
