Chad Dawson ko'd by Edison Miranda while sparring

Poor guy can't seem to do it right. First he breaks the jaw of the middle weight champion who wants to quit but is forced to continue, then he KTFO the light heavyweight champion with padded gloves and gets fired for it.

Miranda deserves a belt... one of these days.

 

Quincy does have a point that the Mayweathers could be inflating the odds. If Dawson was seriously hurt from sparring, Scully would cancel the match, and they would have every reason too given that the stacks are against him (Dawson dropping down in weight, fighting in Ward's backyard, and Dawson coming off a win against Hopkins).

 

Didn't mean to say or imply this. Just not a big deal to me if it happened or not.

thats all i was saying was that the TS only informed us of the rumor...something many of us that gamble on boxing greatly appreciate. bashing him simply stiffles others from divulging what could be pertinent information.

 

of course they(odds) would if chad was indeed knocked out.

but then again maybe that is the intentions of jeff mayweather...the guy who started this rumor.

heavy action on ward would appear to be people hedging out of their dawson bet.

For the record, I don't believe this at all, so Miranda KTFO Chad Dawson with padded gloves and headgear, yet the man has taken shots from Tarver, Johnson, Adamek, and Pascal without these safeguards and been fine? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I don't believe this at all, literally give it zero credibility.

You are forgetting Dawson is coming down from 175 for this fight. His punch resistance may not have followed him. His defensive reactions may be slowed. Edison may still punch hard at 175.

 

Its been 6 years since Dawson has fought at 168lbs. Edison has a history of keeping his weight high until the last 2 weeks. There could have been a decent difference in their weight that week. Something his team should have considered.

 

A lot of "he may" in that, or it "may" not have ever happened. Lets not forget how **** Edison Miranda is now, yet he can hit and spark the 175 lb champion with padded gloves and headgear...but can't win on FNF? I mean again, everyone is entitled to believe what they want but I don't give a **** if Dawson was 140 lbs, I don't believe he was sparked by Edison Miranda in sparring. This is a classic case of pics/vids or STFU. IMO.

 

It's sparring, everyone has gotten hurt in sparring. Even Tyson and Foreman.
