Thats a pretty good score. But do you really think Benitez goes the distance against a Prime Duran?..Even after goin down a few times?

With both guys in there Prime, I wouldnt wanna see that fight in any other division than 140 anyway...even though some say Duran's prime was at LW..

I wouldn't advise Benitez to try to bang it out with Duran at 140 either, chances are he gets put outa there early..

I'd say if Benitez can last with a 154lb Hearns, he can make it against any version of Duran.

You could go the other way and say if Bruce Curry can beat him half to death what could Duran do. Benitez was every bit as inconsistent as post lightweight Duran.

Good point, Little Red... There's always a good counterargument to a valid topic of discussion.

And I thought we established this was at 140? I could be wrong, but Benitez didn't fight at 135...

I just think stylistically he was always going to give Duran trouble. He's slick and smart enough to do it. He proved that much.

Fans for sure would have rather seen this fight ( if they are in there primes ) at 140 than anywhere else.

Why? You're asking if he could last the distance against Duran when he lasted the distance against arguably the most dangerous monster ever in that division... Hearns was bigger, much harder puncher, and actually conclusively beat Benitez...

Why wouldn't that be relevant? He did that at a higher weight than his best...

It would still be nice to know just what the actual odds were.
