    Did I miss something? I don't see Kessler in that list.:huh Did he retire or move up to LHW or somethin'?

    Anyhow, regarding Bute:delusion seems to be strong in this thread.

    Gotta' respect Bute's courage in choosing to rematch Froch and I do, but that's about it. He's gonna' get beat like a red-headed stepchild. Again.

    Also, Ward beats Bute badly every minute of every round were they to fight. I wouldn't rule out Bute takin' a nap and Ward ain't famous for that.

    Who deserves to be higher? His best wins are better than all the guys behind him, Kessler moved up, and Dirrell has been inactive. Based on that, the top 3 are clearly correct.

    Kessler moved to 175. And yeah, Ward probably beats Bute, but styles make fights. Ward's toughest fight (since Boone) was Bika (who Bute beat more convincingly) because he was bothered to the body, and Ward has never faced a decent southpaw. I'd favor Ward, but wouldn't write off Bute of the two fought.

    As for the rest, it's boxing: anything can happen and styles make fights...add whatever appropriate cliches you like, but I never thought the issue was in doubt w/Ward and Bika though I respected Sakio's effort. Based on quality of opposition and what they look like to me respectively in the ring, Ward outclasses Bute. Badly imo, but I doubt we'll ever find out because Bute will probably be retired soon.

    Bute won pretty much every round and it wasn't until the last two rounds that he started to take a "beating".

    Froch has a good chin but I think Bute can crack it if he lands solid and unseen. Don't forget that Bute has some good pop in his left hand. :hey

    He's fine. He accepted that loss and he's looking forward the rematch. Now he trains for the fight with Grachev on 3 Nov.

    agreed. I also think AA would ko bute. Actually. I think bute is done as a upper echelon SMW, but can still make a great living as a gate keeper fighting in Canada. Froch destroyed him on so many levels..

    Kessler is not ranked but I'd put him on rank 3 after Froch then Bute on 4. :deal

    AA would be an easy victim for Bute. AA doesn't have a good workrate , jab , reach , footwork etc. He would be harmless in front of Bute. Probably Bute would T.K.O him :yep:deal.
