Tunney vs. Dempsey I, Was Dempsey just not ready for Tunney? or was it just to late?

    Theoreticaly Tunny could have just been a better fighter..

    I think that 3 year layoff effected him more than anything, and of course its possible he just wasnt ready for Tunney

    I'm not even a Dempsey phan....I also don't rate him in the top 10 (just outside in the 11-14 range)....I just don't understand the hate? And it creeps into every thread about him anymore...and even threads that are not about him.

    Im a huge Dempsey fan..And the hate comes from him losing to Tunney and weather or not he had out cast in hid glove..Some drama came with this fight

    Rumor has it that Tunney watched alot of Dempsey footage and and found a weakness in Dempse'ys style, Everytime he threw that big looping left hand jack drops hid=s right hand, and Tunney studied it..and them exposed it..

    So what do you guys think of Prime Dempsey vs Prime Tunney? Do some of you believe Dempsey would have lost that fight?..Or would he had just been too much for Tunney!?

    I think both statements are true.

    Dempsey wasn't the fighter he once was, but even then I don't think he'd have beaten Tunney.
