    i strongly disagree

regards tyson that is. found ways to get out of it when the going got tough, eg biting holyfield. choose to not continue fighting vs williams and mcbride at end of career. admittedly well past prime but still.

think tyson had mental weaknesses. never really won a fight which was going badly except v botha

If he is willing to bite someones ear of in the ring, he would probably do a lot more outside the ring to win though.

Modern era: Froch - never truly out-gunned, not scared to go toe to toe with anyone, and even in his losses has arguably finished the fresher of the 2 men in the ring. If fights were 15 rounds, he'd be 31-0.

All time: Marciano...no argument, and Valero - 27-0 (27) says it all...

At his very best, it wouldn't go badly. My reasoning was that he'd save my life by smashing my foe up inside a round or so :D

As for the Douglas fight; what a shambles, and he still nearly pulled the fight winning punch out of his arse. But I'll take the combination punching Tyson that set his work up as opposed to the one dimensional bomber that came to the ring post-Rooney.

I never really thought of Tyson, he could intimidate somebody with a look, he already beat the opponent without throwing a punch.

Froch is a very weak inside fighter.

Why more opponents don't try and use it against him I've no idea.

Probably because they have too much respect for his much vaunted power, which in all honesty isn't much better than average at the top level.

You mean on the streets? Probably Tyson because he was just so intimidating and ferocious. Could fight a bit too.

Suppose I was getting grief off a bunch of seriously hard *******s, and I had to fight them and could take 5 friends with me. I would take Tyson, Hagler, Duran, Mayorga, Marciano.
