Round 1

Meryasev winds his way forward with sinuous upper body motions, trying to land lead left hooks. Rajapbaev counters with the 1-2 while stepping back and circling to his left. A few body shots by Rajapbaev. Meryasev jabs his way in but gets countered some more by the straight shots of Rajapbaev before a clinch. Flurries to the body by Rajapbaev, not hard but holding Meryasev back. Ducking and weaving on the way in by Meryasev, pressuring without letting his hands go. Now a triple left hook to the body by Meryasev, smacking loudly and driving Rajapbaev back. Meryasev is coming on strong, landing jabs to the forehead and pummeling away underhanded to the body.

Rajapbaev did solid work but seemed to grow more affected by Meryasev's power and insistence in the final minute.
