Chad was obviously weight drained and this fight proves very little for either fighter because of it.

 

Ward made mistakes Chad's uppercut could have made pay. He ran in with his chin up. Moved in straight lines when he jabbed, and dropped his right a few times when he jabbed. Chad didn't try any lateral movement when Ward came at him. He couldn't pull the trigger on anything. **** poor performance, and a worse quit job.

 

Nope, Dawson was knocked out cold by Edison Miranda around a week back, there's your excuse.

Plus to everyone crying weight drained, Ward would have done the same thing to Dawson at a catchweight or 175. Better is just better.

This performance had to do more about Dawson weight drain, then Ward skills, come on now DAWSON is not getting hurt by every punch at 175 but now ward becomes some power puncher that hurts dawson every rounds, ya'll knows it a weight drain.

It might have been more the Miranda KO that had to do with him not taking the punches well...but his legs were gone. So stiff and so were his reflexes.

 

People forget the Pascal fight where Dawson looked slow. Dawson is not fast. Not as fast as Ward or Pascal.

 

i'm super proud of Ward, but i'll keep it real. Dawson didn't look himself and was more than likely drained. that being said, We all knew the situation(including Dawson)

The knockdowns were a bit odd. I know Ward is very skilled but he's known to be lacking in power. Bum opponents have held up better than Dawson did tonight. Who would have thought it. Dawson's chin has held up to LHW punches..

 

good one, I agree dawson wanted that paycheck and he came in drained for it... This was a great performance from ward, but it obviously had to do more about the draining then wards skill...

Sadly he will never be the some fighter. He took a massive beating and mentally he will have very very hard time to recover. Moreover he will have to live with the quitter label

Johnson 2x, Tarver 2x, Diaconu, Pascal, Hopkins never drop him but Ward who has never even hurt or dropped a SMW puts him down 3x and gives him wobbly legs at least another 3 or 4 times. Chad landed 29 total punches that's 3 punches landed per round. Ward looked great but anyone who thinks Chad wasn't weight drained is delusional.

 

That's what I'm saying. Allen green doesn't go down but Dawson does 3x? What????
