I think this was a more profound domination simply because Dawson was always thought of as a great technician and he got flat out embarassed in his area of strength.

LOL. Chico, although tall for his weightclass, didnt use his height and preffered in-fighting and in addition to this preffered to slug it out rather than box obviously due to his raw power. Chad on the other hand is a pure boxer who usually used his length and long jab to full effect which unfortunately he didnt utilize during his fight with dawson for whatever reason......I really dont see the comparison at all except for the fact that both fights displayed numerous KD courtesy of the superior fighter and both fights ending in the 10th....And before I forget, Chico got stopped by the referre and still wanted to have a go at it while Dawson literally told Smoger to mercifully stop the fight for him.....

There are some similarities given the in-and-out offensives and focus on lead left hooks against taller fighters, but I'd hardly call them twin fights. Maybe distant cousins a few times removed.

  6. not quite.. gotta re-watch it while sober tho

Pretty much. Big fight between 2 top fighters and one of them was just leap years better.

this anology is more similar to what i thought about before they actually fight. i thought it brought back memories of when toney and jones fought since they were top two americans between smw and lhw similar to where toney and rj fought, and both american fighters with great boxing skills.

dawson's technically a better boxer but Chico actually could win a fight when he was technically outgunned because he never gave up. Dawson has the actual fighting instinct of a hardback book sitting on a shelf.

Also both fighters(Dawson and Corrales) were weight drained.

Chico never stopped trying to win. No quit in that guy. Dawson stopped trying after 2 and quit.

Can see the similarities. Both fighters in their prime. Chico coming down to floyd's weight, dawson coming down to Ward's. Multiple knockdowns, fight stopped in 10. People in awe. Yep good catch.

Money had a way more dominant win IMO it was basically a complete mismatch
